About

I have created this site to share my videos (edited from raw drone footage), and also the photos taken from my drone.

My experience of camera drones started off in late 2015 with a basic Syma X8C drone with a small action camera attached to it.  I enjoyed putting this together, as at the time it was a very cheap way of getting into the hobby.  The total cost for the drone, spare batteries, gimbal and camera was around £150.  This was fine for the first few months, but I was then craving the next step in drone technology.

I wanted to have better and more predictable battery life, a live video feed, a non-fish eye lens, and also other more advanced features (such as GPS position holding, a tiltable gimbal and remote control over photo and video taking).

This led to me purchasing a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced in February 2016, and I’ve been enjoying flying it and getting footage since then.  At the time, it was at a great price point and still has good enough features and quality for me.

I’m lucky enough to live in Sheffield, which is right on the edge of The Peak District.  This has given me a great subject matter for many of my videos.

Having a drone tends to encourage you to get out there, rather than allowing it to gather dust!

I have also taken my drone with me when going away on holiday within the UK, and also abroad to France, Sicily and Italy.  One of the pleasures you get from drone flying is showing people the live view if they show an interest.

I really enjoy turning the raw footage into a finished video and, although it’s a lot of work, I think the final results are worth it.

I hope you enjoy my website, videos and photos. 🙂
